Dear Angela Rogers,

I am excited to apply for the Programme Manager position for the "Stepping In" project, which involves overseeing the delivery of a multi-partner initiative that includes training programmes and mentorship opportunities. With a proven track record in managing complex projects, particularly evidenced during my role as Programme Manager at Arts Care Gofal Celf, I am eager to bring my expertise to this dynamic opportunity.

During my tenure at Arts Care Gofal Celf, I successfully handled project budgets totalling £30,000, collaborating closely with third sector organisations and funders. This experience honed my skills in relationship management and effective communication, ensuring seamless coordination across various stakeholders, from CEOs of other Arts in Health organisation to participants, venue key holders and councillors.

My commitment to fostering inclusion and diversity in the arts has been a driving force in my professional journey. Notably, my founding and delivering of ACGC’s GWELLA project and leadership of the Clwb Glee Club demonstrate my dedication to promoting best practices in this area.

As a trained Choir Leader, I secured funding for and led a highly successful year-long, inclusive singing for wellbeing group, attracting over 400 attendances to culminate in a memorable singalongathon. Currently, I am empowering members of the Clwb Glee Club to take ownership of session development through training and mentorship. Additionally, I have recently concluded two projects as a Creative Artist Facilitator with Tanio that looked at how we can encourage children from lower socio-economic communities to engage in the creative industries through music.

My adeptness at managing multiple projects simultaneously, combined with my proactive approach to problem-solving, ensures the smooth execution of initiatives and cultivates a supportive environment for all involved.

I remain committed to staying abreast of developments in the field of Arts in Health through active engagement in conferences, events, and relevant networks. Additionally, my experience as a wellbeing support officer and Samaritans listening volunteer equips me with the skills to provide effective supervision and support.

I have established strong connections within the Arts in Health community, specifically Kathryn Lambert of HDUHB and other Arts in Health coordinators and I actively participate in relevant networks and forums. My membership in the Royal Society for Public Health's Arts in Health subgroup as well as my aim to undertake my doctorate in this field underscores my dedication to advancing this field further.

Rwy’n dysgu Cymraeg ar hyn o bryd a threuliais yr wythnos ddiwethaf yn siarad Cymraeg gyda phlant o gymunedau gwledig Sir Gaerfyrddin. Rwy’n teimlo’n hyderus i ysgrifennu yn Gymraeg ac yn croesawu gohebiaeth yn Gymraeg, fodd bynnag mae fy Nghymraeg llafar yn llawer arafach! Rwy’n cydlynu prosiect gydag Arts Care Gofal Celf, lle mae’r holl swyddfa a rhai gwirfoddolwyr ac artistiaid yn ymuno â chwrs Dysgu Cymraeg blwyddyn a hanner o hyd a ddarperir gan brifysgol aberwystwyth i fusnesau gyda golwg ar hyfforddi’r holl staff i siarad sylfaenol Cymraeg. Mae fy mab yn mynd i'r ysgol Gymraeg ac rwy'n ddysgwr gydol oes ymroddedig, er bod fy mab bob amser yn dweud wrtha i "ti'n ofnadwy mama!" pryd bynnag dwi'n gwneud camgymeriad!

I am thrilled at the prospect of contributing to the success of the "Stepping In" project and am eager to discuss how my skills and experiences align with the needs of the role.

Thank you for considering my application. I am eager to join your team and contribute to the impactful work ahead.

Warm Regards,

Sarah Milligan
